The integration of teaching and learning theory and practice, program planning ideas and the embedded analysis of reading and writing text types makes this book an invaluable resource for teachers.

Lesley Wing Jan's book highlights the importance of visual literacy, critical literacy and technological literacy which are all essential attributes of a literate person in the information age of the 21st Century.
