Buyer Beware, this receiver has problems and is poorly engineered It will receive some HD satellite broadcasts. However it has a lot of factory firmware problems built into it. Some functions like the time and the timer functions don't work at all. Some of the receiver remote control functions don't do anything either or they don't do what they are supposed to do.

The product manual doesn' explain very well at all about the different receiver functions and about how to set them all up. The factory has released 3 firmware updates for this receiver and all of them came with multible problems. Of the 3 versions the first one appears to have the lesser of problems so I reinstalled it and now since I am now stuck with the receiver I am hoping that the factory will finally come out with a version that will correct the defects and make this receiver into what one would expect it to be. If I had known at first of all this disfunctionality that is built into this product, I would never have purchased it, not even at half it's current retail price.

Seller 5 stars, product - skip it until they get the bugs out. I can only write about my experience and the seller gets 5 stars but I could not program this receiver after multiple re-boots.
